The Portrait Experience

Clean. True-to-color. Made to outlast the trends.

Elevated portrait experiences for seniors, families, couples, and anyone in between — cinematic, intentional, and timeless. Every session is fully guided, from your outfits to your posing to the playlist, so you never stand there wondering what to do with your hands.

1.

Before

Once you book, you'll get access to a styling guide to plan your look — and I'll help curate outfits that photograph well and feel true to you.

2.

During

Real direction the whole way through, and a playlist to match. Bad weather isn't a problem either — rescheduling is always free.

3.

After

Your hand-edited gallery lands in 2–3 weeks. At your in-person reveal, we design your prints and albums — your story, elevated onto the wall.

One session. Then you design the art.

How the reveal works

01

We create

Your fully guided session — styled, directed, and unhurried. You show up; I handle the rest.

02

You reveal

Two to three weeks later, we sit down together and see your hand-edited images for the first time.

03

You choose

You design your framed pieces, album, and digital files — applying your $500 credit to the ones worth keeping forever.

This is a designed experience, start to finish. Digital images and printed artwork are chosen at your reveal, where your print collections are shown in person. Families & couples welcome, and I'll build the session around you.

02 — Families & Couples

Not just seniors.
Everyone you love.

Families, couples, kids mid-giggle, grandparents, golden retrievers — if they're yours, they belong in the frame.

Same guided experience, same true-to-color editing, same in-person reveal. Nobody has to perform; I'll keep everyone moving and catch them being themselves.

“I'm awkward in front of the camera — help?!”

Almost every client says that — and every gallery proves otherwise.

I'll guide you every step of the way, from posing to energy. You'll leave wondering if you just walked out of a magazine shoot.

03 — Portrait FAQ

Everything people ask before they book.

What should I wear?

Once you book, you'll get access to a styling guide to help you plan your look. I'll also help curate outfits that photograph well, match the vibe of your session, and feel true to you — whether it's sleek and modern or flowy and romantic.

How does the reveal and ordering work?

About two to three weeks after your session, you'll return for an in-person reveal — the moment we see your hand-edited images together for the first time. This is where you choose the ones that matter: the framed pieces for your wall, the album, and the digital files you want to keep. Your $695 session fee includes a $500 print credit to put toward whatever you choose. Portraits aren't a gallery dump — they're artwork you design on purpose.

Are digital images included with the session fee?

The session fee covers the full guided experience and includes a $500 print credit. Digital files and printed artwork are chosen at your in-person reveal, where you apply that credit toward the images and pieces you love. It's intentional, not shoot-and-burn — you invest in the images worth keeping, not a hard drive of everything.

What if it rains on the day of my session?

Nothing is lost. Rescheduling a portrait session is completely free — or, if you're game, we move indoors for moody window light or shoot in it, because wet pavement and grey sky are quietly some of the best light there is.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Pets are family — just give me a heads-up so I can plan accordingly and make sure everyone's comfortable and camera-ready.

I'm awkward in front of the camera — help?!

Good — that means you're normal. You'll never be left standing there guessing: I call out posture, hands, chin, and energy the whole way through, and we build to the good frames instead of hunting for them. I pursued modeling myself just to learn how it feels on your side of the lens, and it's the single most useful thing I ever did for my clients.

I've never done anything like this before — is it weird to book a photoshoot for myself?

Absolutely not. In fact, it's iconic. Whether you're graduating, celebrating a milestone, healing, or just want to honor who you are right now — this is a luxury made for you. You don't need a reason to be seen.

Where will we shoot? Do you travel for sessions?

Yes! I'm based in Danville, VA, but I travel all over Virginia and beyond. Whether it's a mountaintop, beach, or bustling city block — I'm game if it tells your story. Locally, we're spoiled: warehouse-district brick, the Riverwalk, downtown murals, farms, and pine forests are all minutes away.

How far in advance should I book my session?

I recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for busy seasons. But if you're last minute, reach out — I might surprise you.
